Where can I buy NAIR® products?
NAIR® is sold in most drug stores and mass merchandise stores, as well as food stores with pharmacies. Most stores have a dedicated Hair Removal Section in the Skin Care aisle. In smaller stores or grocery stores, NAIR® Hair Removal products may be found next to the razor section.
I'm having trouble removing hair? What am I doing wrong?
Cream Depilatories
The most common error made with a cream depilatory is that it is left on too long or not long enough. Additionally, a thick layer of NAIR® cream needs to be applied to cover hair completely for more efficient removal. Everyone's hair and skin are unique and may vary periodically due to hormonal cycles and other reasons. Test each time before using a full application following the directions. With practice you can easily identify when hair is ready to be washed off. Never exceed the maximum amount of time specified in the directions for use.
Waxes
With wax hair removal, the most common error is failure to keep skin taut and to pull the strip off quickly and immediately, against the direction of hair growth. Practice this technique on a small area before attempting more sensitive or larger areas. One of the keys to perfect hair removal using NAIR® Waxing Systems is the speed with which you apply and instantly remove each strip.
Cire Divine wax sticks to my skin and is hard to pull off. What do I do?
The best thing to do is to apply a light layer of talc to your skin before using the product, especially in humid conditions. You may need to apply a thicker layer of wax. Test in a small area to determine the correct thickness that works for you. Remember, key to perfect hair removal using NAIR® Waxing Systems is the speed with which you instantly remove the wax strip.
After using NAIR® Cream Depilatories, how long will it take before I see new hair growth and need to remove hair again?
With NAIR® cream depilatories, hair stays away longer than shaving. Re-growth varies by individual and by environmental conditions. On average, you may see new, finer hair between two to three days after hair removal, depending on the person.
With NAIR® Waxes, the time between treatments will vary between three to six weeks, depending on the individual and other factors.
What's the best method of hair removal for me?
If your primary objective is to keep hair off for the longest period of time possible, you should use a NAIR® Waxing Hair Removal system. With waxing, your hair must be at least 1/4 inch in length before hair removal. Facial hair can be shorter.
If you don't want to wait for the hair to grow to that length before removal, use NAIR® Cream Depilatories. Both waxing and using a cream depilatory will result in longer periods between hair removals compared to shaving.
Can NAIR® hair removal products be used to achieve a look known as the Brazilian or to remove hair completely from the bikini area?
Cream Depilatories and Wax products should not be used on vaginal/genital and perianal areas but may be used on the remaining bikini area.
Can I use NAIR® products during pregnancy?
Yes, NAIR® is a cosmetic product for the removal of topical hair and can be safely used by pregnant women. If you have exceptionally sensitive skin or other skin maladies you should first consult a physician. NAIR® should also be used as directed to ensure optimum efficacy and comfort of use.
For Men
Can men use NAIR® hair removal products?
Yes, NAIR® has developed a line of hair removal products just for men to remove unwanted hair from the body including: the back, chest, stomach, arms and legs. These products are not recommended as a substitute to shaving facial hair, specifically a beard. Try NAIR® for Men Cream or NAIR® for Men ready-to-use body wax strips.
